Andrew is (since 2013) Chief Executive of the major international aerospace and defence company Northrop Grumman Europe and has been an advisor to KPS over the past two years. During his 25 year career, Andrew has held senior positions within the Ministry of Defence and was Chief Executive of the tidal energy company, Siemens-owned Marine Current Turbines from 2011-13. He is a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering.
Sian George specialises in supporting high-tech start-ups in the renewable energy sector. She is Chair of the Board of Scotrenewables Tidal Power Ltd and a non-Executive Director of Avena Consultants and KPS Ltd. She provides strategic support and advisory services to companies across the Renewable Energy sector, such as small-scale distributed energy systems and supporting Oil and Gas service providers to develop growth strategies for offshore renewable energy market. Sian has helped raise over £90m for technology start-ups in the renewables and has a track-record in developing start-ups. Previously she worked for the UK Financial Conduct Authority and the UK Department for International Development. She holds a PhD in Policies for Natural Resource Management.
Paul is the fluid mechanics Research Director at Schlumberger Gould Research Centre is Cambridge where Paul leads research into the measurement of multiphase flows in boreholes and pipelines; optimization and control of pumps; the fluid mechanics of well cementing; and the application of Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) techniques. Paul brings a wealth of first hand innovation challenge experience to the board.
Robert is CFO at Shell Technology Ventures. He has an MSc in economics from Rotterdam University and has completed a postgraduate Dutch Registered Controller (RC) masters programme. Robert provides the Board with a unique depth of experience and expertise in to the areas of financial control, business regulation and investment.
Dr Niklas Rotering holds a MSc. in Energy Science and Technology (ETH Zurich and Carnegie Mellon University) and Dr.-Ing. in Electrical Engineering (Aachen University, Institute for Power Systems and Power Economics). Prior to joining E.ON’s strategic co-investment team Niklas worked as a consultant in the power industry leading numerous project related to renewable energy, grid expansion and storage for the German government as well companies such as Audi, Volkswagen, Voith and numerous utilities. He also co-founded modEnerco, which provides online energy consulting, and lead it to profitability while being CEO. Niklas provides the board with his experience of bringing new technologies to market as well as insides of the power industry.
